How Does Your Retail Business Stand Out?

How Does Your Retail Business Stand Out?

A friend recently suggested that I had no idea how much more time I would have for my family if I gave up watching football.  Another friend suggested that was nuts, but I tried it over Thanksgiving.  Not a minute of football on Thursday or Friday. All I had to do was make the choice to give up one little distraction and suddenly I had a lot more time with my wife and kids.

Ideas are shared so quickly that you have to make choices to really stand out and succeed.  You can be better.  You can be really different.  Or you can be cheaper.  Those are kind of it for a business.

In Great Harvest, we have two business models to be concerned with and neither is cheaper.  The home office sells and supports bakeries.  Bakeries sell bread and other baked goods.  For the bakeries, the decision is easy.  Be better.  And different.  Our made from scratch, fresh milled flour, whole grain, neighborhood High Five Fiber Great Harvest bread photofocus promises that you get a product and service superior to your grocery store or an upscale deli.  But our bakeries can also be different.  Products like Dakota and High Five Fiber are just unique to Great Harvest.  And, they are not alone.  From Dog Bones to Savannah Bars to Breakfast Blast, many of our products are not available anywhere else.

At the franchise level, we believe we are better and every satisfaction survey we do, and we do a lot, says that is a well founded belief.  But what we really do is be different.

No where else can you buy a business that gives you the benefits of an established brand with over thirty years of experience, the support of our learning community and the resources of a franchise office committed to your success that is still regulated for your safety by the government that also still lets you have autonomy to run your own business as you see fit.  The Freedom Franchise.

Start ups are risky, even if they do come with great rewards if they succeed.  Regular franchises take most of the decision making and creativity away from their franchisees and make them just executors of a proven business model.  Great Harvest gives Great Harvest bars photoyou the best of both.  You can do a start up with your own artistic creativity but still have the benefit of a proven set of best practices to help guide you to success.

Our business isn’t for everyone but if you love the idea of a product you can be proud of, an opportunity to be a part of your neighborhood, and the safety of a franchise, then we might just be the business that stands out for you.

Thanks for reading.
