Great Harvest Cookie Ice cream Sandwiches
I loooooove summer. Nothing like the feeling of being out in the hot sun and then going into the neighborhood grocery store to cool down in the icecream aisle! To my amazement, I can hardly believe all the flavors to choose from these days. We’ve come a long way from just chocolate, vanilla, and neopolitan.
If you are looking for something fun to do with your kids or just want to be a little more creative for your next backyard barbecue, try these fun and easy desserts.
What you’ll need:
- 6-pack of Great Harvest Snickerdoodle cookies
- Complementary icecream such as: Ben & Jerry’s Crème Brulee, Haagen Dazs® Bananas Foster, or keep it simple with Breyer’s Vanilla Bean
- Cookie cutter such as a large heart or large star
Taking already baked Great Harvest Snickerdoodle cookies, use a cookie cutter of choice to cut out a shape. Top with a couple small scoops of icecream. Level with a spatula or knife and add the second cut-out cookie on top.
If chocolate inspires you, try this with Great Harvest’s flagship cookie, fondly known as the “Dillon” cookie. Dillon cookies are made with freshly ground whole wheat flour, steel cut oats, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and heart healthy walnuts.
